Actress Julia Roberts was honored for her philanthropy and work in "The Normal Heart." She received the Respect Award from the GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network). The GLSEN is the leading national education organization working to create safe schools for ALL students. GLSEN was established to ensure that each member of the school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
