An actual Los Angeles native, Kate, actually born Catherine Ann Bosworth, began her acting career at the young age of 14 years old in the movie, The Horse Whisperer.

An Equestrian champion herself, this was the right movie to begin Kate’s young acting career. Bosworth went on to star in movies, The Newcomers, Remember The Titans, The Return of Superman and many more! Bosworth has always been active with charity work.

She has since turned her philanthropic endeavors to work to help eradicate human trafficking.

Recent studies show that human trafficking is the 21st centuries rise fastest growing criminal enterprise. Bosworth has joined the cause to fight human trafficking and is working hard to make others aware of this horrible issue in the United States of America.

Bosworth and her husband Michael Polish made the movie “Nona,” to document a young girls life as she was brought from Honduras and sold into a Los Angeles, California sex ring. Bosworth recently attended a gala hosted by the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST).

This organization helps human trafficking survivors by providing them with attorney fees, food and housing. Bosworth now works with CAST to help other human trafficking survivors. For more information or to learn how you can help, log onto www.castla.org.
