R&B Singer TAMIA fights Multiple Sclerosis.

Most of us recognize this celebrity from her music hits, "I'm, So In To You," "You Put A Move On My Heart," or even, "Stranger In My House,"  Some of us know her from her marriage to NBA Basketball Star, Mr. Grant Hill.  But what many of us don't know if that R&B Superstar TAMIA also battles Multiple Sclerosis (MS).  This is a painful debilitating nerve disorder that attacks various areas of the body.  It affects bodily functions and can prevent its victims from the simplest of daily activities including walking.  We know of others who fight this disorder (Michael J. Fox (actor), Brian Grant, (NBA player) and Muhammad Ali, (Legendary Boxer).

Some of the symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis include:  Anxiety, Spasticity, bladder dysfunction, dizziness, balance problems, pain, tremors, numbness, sexual dysfunction, bowel problems, swallowing disorders, extreme fatigue, etc.  Each persons symptoms vary, but if you are experiencing these symptoms see you doctor.  Today there are many effective prescriptions that are helping people fighting MS.  We are happy to say that Tamia and Grant Hill have two beautiful daughters and TAMIA made sure to get the best care possible to fight MS.  If you have questions about MS you can send an email to MSquestions@mymsaa.org, or log on to www.mymsaa.org or call 800-532-7667.
